Role/Responsibilities: 
his role will serve as the primary Engineering contact for Infrastructure Services to Moody’s Analytics.  This role will work in conjunction of the Infrastructure Services Relationship Management team to:

• Understand the portfolio of Infrastructure Services supporting Moody’s Analytics
• Determine and maintain a three and twelve month infrastructure forecast of demand
• Assist in the development of and manage requirements
• Assist in the design-related activities that cross multiple Infrastructure Engineering disciplines
• Represent Infrastructure Engineering in client status meetings and strategy sessions

This individual will also work closely with the Infrastructure Engineering functional delivery teams to devise solutions to satisfy agreed-to business objectives.   They will provide counsel to the client application development teams for their work products and to act as an informed client advocate within the Infrastructure Engineering   team. This individual will also be responsible for detailed, high-quality documentation and/or presentations which meets the needs of the various stakeholders.    Specific responsibilities for the position include:

• Maintaining a strong understanding of MIT Infrastructure Services Catalog and the Infrastructure Strategy as well as infrastructure capabilities and capacity.
• Helping develop the internal MIT Infrastructure Services Catalog – the development of new services and/or tiers of service.
• Helping develop models that determine the appropriate location for workloads (e.g., private cloud, public cloud, hybrid).
• Partnering with Infrastructure Engineering delivery leads to assure that technical solutions are aligned with the strategy.
• Managing technical appropriateness and/or feasibility of requirements and designs.
• Obtaining signoffs and managing requirements change.
• Facilitating the development of infrastructure business cases to support investment

This role will be accountable for improving time-to-market fulfillment of requests.   Given this, this role will help Moody’s Analytics application teams migrate to an automated build and deploy model using VMware vCloud Automation Center (vCAC).
Scope/Supervision and Interaction:
Works collaboratively with Infrastructure Engineering delivery teams, Infrastructure Relationship Management, Infrastructure Operations, Infrastructure PMO and others to ensure effective cross- communication and issue management.

Qualifications:

Minimum education and work experience required for this position include:   

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
• A minimum of 7 years experience in various aspects of infrastructure management, including design/architecture, implementation, project management, business analysis, etc. is required. Experience in multiple infrastructure domains is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years experience working with VMware vCloud products.
• A minimum of 2 years experience in developing public cloud-based solutions for internal infrastructure clients.
• A minimum of 2 years experience in an infrastructure client-facing role with a large, functionally diverse, and informed user base that demands high quality applications is required.
• Experience with business process engineering, organizational change management, performing cost-benefit analyses, architectural modeling, and project planning are all desireable.
• Experience working in an ITIL environment is a must. ITILv3 Foundation certification is desired.

• Strong meeting/workshop facilitation skills and documented Strong communication skills targeting audiences with varied technical and business experience.
• Strong requirements elicitation and modeling skills and experience with requirements management.
• Self-directed, adaptable, flexible, and willing to express and defend an opinion.
• Proven track record of the ability to identify and interpret client requirements into infrastructure requirements and IT solutions.
• Proven ability to articulate infrastructure requirements to Engineering peers
