Applications are invited for the post of Secretary General, Quality Council of India, an autonomous body registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860, which has been set up in 1997 jointly by the Government of India and apex Indian industry associations. QCI was set up to establish and operate a national quality campaign in India. Besides having three National Accreditation Boards, the Quality Council of India administers the National Quality Campaign.
Essential Qualifications:
The applicant should have a post graduate degree in Management; Public Administration; Economics; Physics; Chemistry or Biological Sciences. The applicant should have at least 20 years of work experience (at least 5 years experience as CEO of an Institution, Board level Director of PSU, Joint Secretary of Central Government) with proven track record of working very closely with industry and government on the subject of quality, standards, conformity assessment and running a national quality movement. The person should be well versed in risk management with respect to certification and accreditation. The incumbent should have leadership and dynamic quality. The knowledge on GFR, financial management, HR and administration would be added quality.
Pay:The Secretary General will be offered a salary and perquisites commensurate with his qualifications and experience which will be sum up to approximately (Minimum) Rs.32 Lakh per annum in CTC.
Age:
The applicant should be below the age of 55 years on the last date for receipt of application.
Mode of Recruitment: Direct selection.
Service tenure: The initial appointment will be for three years which could be extended subject to maximum of superannuation age of 60 years.
