Job Function and Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Directs and manages technology connected activities for the Finance Department. liable for leadership, management and oversight of technology in support of Finance Transformation Program at NYL. Has overall responsibility for collaborating with program workstreams and NYL IT organizations (Enterprise Technology, Insurance cluster Technology and Investments Technology) as necessary to coordinate and manage the provisioning of IT services to the workstreams as required
-Functions across IT governance structures and procedures to manage and manage service delivery demand, performance, and risk
-Gathers and communicates linear unit workstream-related application and infrastructure necessities there to shared services organizations
-Coordinates the definition and delivery of all IT shared services associated with applications, interfaces, and integration services, including, however not restricted to package-based and custom-developed applications; info and content management applications; middle ware electronic communication adapters, and wrappers; and thin-client (web and mobile) user interface applications.
-Coordinates the definition and delivery of all IT shared services associated with infrastructure, including, how ever not restricted to, knowledge centres, logical and physical servers, storage, networks, medium infrastructure, and security operations
-Coordinates the observation of FT-deployed technologies and tools to confirm the victorious day-after-day operation and delivery of the services
-Coordinates alignment of linear unit preparation activities with on-going/planned IT operations (e.g. security and audit controls, disaster recovery testing)
-Creates and fosters a “customer centric” culture within the delivery of IT services
-Oversees the coordination of IT services across the IT and linear unit organizations to confirm the effective and economical delivery of FT-required services
-Ensures technology delivery associated performance outcomes square measure realised in an economicaltop quality and price effective manner. 
Interactions:
Coordinates with the appliance design development efforts of application teams
Establishes and maintains sound operating relationships with linear unit project executives and key linear unit work stream leaders and Business Unit CIOs 
Communicates often to maximise natural process between all IT areas, as applicable
Works hand and glove with alternative technology leaders to implement complicated technical initiatives

Independently identifies, defines, directs, and performs analyses to resolve complicated first-time project problems as well as the analysis of technical and economic practicability of projected systems solutions. Required Qualifications: 
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field required; Masters degree (or equivalent experience) in IT management preferred
15+ years experience in a financial technology management position in a complex and distributed environment
Ability to launch and deliver multiple, sound technology services as needed
Works comfortably and communicates effectively with senior management
Experience and knowledge of best practices related to IT service delivery management
Experience with requirements management; application design and development and deployment; and technology architecture strategy and implementation practices
Significant leadership and collaboration skills; proven ability to dynamically lead local and distributed application or infrastructure teams
Ability to communicate impact of technology solutions and their financial implications to the business
Experience should include technology support for the following processes: Accounting Close , Investment Accounting, Asset Accounting, Statutory & GAAP Accounting, Reconciliation, Allocations, Consolidation, Inter-company Processing, Corporate Planning, Budgeting, Financial Management & Regulatory Reporting ,Tax, Acquisitions & Divestitures, Actuarial Processing and Risk Management
Requires high level of leadership and presence, relationship management skills, business acumen, and influence.
