USC’s Capital Construction Development department is seeking a Senior Project Manager to affix its team. The Senior Project Manager manages and coordinates new building and major renovation comes for each the University Park and Health Sciences Campuses. 

The Senior Project Manager is liable for managing and coordinating complicated and/or multiple complicatedconstruction comes for the university through all phases as well as programming, planning, design, bidding, pre-construction, construction, occupancy and cut-rate sale. Develops, interprets, communicates and executes projectarrange. Establishes operational objectives and provides strategic direction for project employees. Analyzes houseand provision requests and solutions for conformity with the general goals. Ensures that style, processes and specifications align with university desires and goals. Develops project budgets and timetables, and monitors expenditures and schedules. Organizes, coordinates and implements coming up with, style and construction activities.

Job Accountabilities:

Establishes operational objectives and provides strategic direction to project workers functioning on comes. Defines scope, budget and schedules. Selects style consultants and manages the planning section. Manages, organizes, and schedules construction comes and/or coming up with and style comes to satisfy objectives. Researches and develops technical solutions to complicated issues and takes corrective action as necessary. Develops and manages project budgets and schedules. Reviews changes requested by project stakeholders and provides recommendation and suggestions to supervisor on budget, time, and scope implications. Authorizes expenditures and monitors account reconciliation and standing to make sure compliance with university tips and policies. Prepares and/or directs the preparation of economic reports PRN and requested. Coordinates and monitors progress of construction. Reads and interprets plans, specifications and different technical documents. Provides periodic technical style and/or construction reviews and reports. Conducts wants assessment and determines analysis methodology and style, as needed. Reviews submittals of drawings and samples. Monitors conformity of construction with contract documents and specifications. Conducts quality assurance reviews to make sure work is satisfactorily performed and completed. Provides formalized milestone signoffs throughout lifetime ofproject. Provides leadership and broad direction for day-after-day project operations and project connected bodyactivities. is an indoor technical exper and resource to project workers to resolve technical or operational issues. Provides and applies broad in depth technical direction and material experience to internal and/or external projectworkers supported structure goals and policies, as needed. Determines and delegates assignments to projectworkers and groups. Manages and coordinates building, landscape and open house, infrastructure and land-use coming up with, andregulatory authority partitioning and coming up with necessities as allotted. Provides project steering and ensures correspondence with field coming up with and style tips.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education
Bachelor’s degree Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
Minimum Experience
7 years Combined education/experience as substitute for minimum experience
Minimum Field of Expertise
Directly related education and project management experience with increasing leadership/management responsibility in construction and/or planning. Knowledgeable in all conventional aspects of the field and other related disciplines/processes. Demonstrated interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


Preferred Experience
Experience managing research and teaching lab projects in a school, college, university and/or hospital environment.
Supervises
Leads one or more employees performing similar work.
May oversee student, temporary and/or casual workers.
Preferred Field of Expertise
Project administration with progressive leadership/management within a college or university environment. Licensed architect or engineer preferred.
