Job Introduction
The Network Engineer will report to the Network and Security Manager, working under the general direction of the Infrastructure Manager. The candidate for this job and his/her team members are responsible for the smooth operation and implementation of network infrastructure and related systems. The position requires the ability to plan, design, and implement WAN/LAN infrastructure to meet business requirements.

Major Responsibilities

- Support, maintenance and troubleshooting of customer network systems
- Working with customers and 3rd party vendors for implementations/troubleshooting
- Pre-sales/Post-sales technical consulting and support
- Collaboration with regional and global network/security teams
Knowledge and Education
Requirements:

- At least 1 year practical demonstrable experience in networking and firewalls
- Knowledge of switching/routing principals and technologies
- Knowledge and understanding of VPN technology
- Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
- Self motivated for continuous learning and improvement
- Ability and willingness to travel (EU, NA, Asia)
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Works well within a team environment
- Basic understanding of IT business operations/processes
- Strong English and German language skills (written and spoken)
Work Experience
Assets:
Assets:
- Experience with Cisco/HP routers and switches
- Experience with Juniper and Check Point firewall/VPN solutions
- Experience with Riverbed Steelhead network accelerators
- Knowledge of RSA Authentication Manager, RADIUS and TACACS
- Knowledge of datacenter and related technologies
Skills and Competencies
The applicant should have the ability to work under direction, as part of a team, or independently, as required in execution of any given task. The ability to identify the scope of tasks and problems as they arise, assigning relevant priority to resolving issues then taking them to their final conclusion is expected. A flexible approach in finding solutions to given projects or tasks is also required within this role.
